High Court of Delhi · MAT.APP.(F.C.) 160 of 2025 | 2025 SCC OnLine Del 5073
Following marital separation, the wife addressed several derogatory and defamatory complaints to the husband's employer levelling unsubstantiated allegations to damage his professional career.
The High Court held that making derogatory complaints to a spouse's employer with the intent to harm professional reputation and financial livelihood amounts to mental cruelty, irrespective of whether the underlying allegations are true or false.
