Refund & Cancellation Policy
Short version: if we do not get you the document, you do not pay us. Here is the detail.
Full refund
You get everything back — our service fee and any unspent court fee — if:
- You cancel before we file the application at the court.
- We cannot trace the record, after following up for up to 30 days.
- The court refuses the application for a reason that is not your fault.
- We decide we cannot serve that court after taking your money.
Partial refund
If you cancel after we have filed the application, the court fee is already spent and cannot be recovered from the court. We refund our service fee in full but not the court fee.
If the court issues a smaller record than quoted — fewer pages than estimated on a full case file, for instance — we refund the difference in per-page court fees.
No refund
- Once the certified copy has been issued and dispatched to you. At that point the work is done and the court fee is spent.
- Where the application failed because the case details you gave us were wrong. We will re-file with corrected details for the court fee alone, waiving a second service fee.
- For delay alone. We do not control court timelines, and a slow court is not a failure to deliver. If the delay makes the document useless to you, talk to us — we look at these case by case.
Tracking plans
Cancel within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. After that, we refund on a pro-rata basis for whole unused months.
Advocate fees
Fees you pay an advocate are between you and that advocate. We do not collect, hold or refund them. If you have a dispute over an advocate's fee, raise it with them, and with the relevant State Bar Council if it is not resolved.
How to request a refund
WhatsApp us on +91 90531 31131 or email hello@mycasefile.in with your request reference. We confirm within 2 working days and process approved refunds within 7 working days, to the original payment method. Your bank may take a further 3–5 days to show it.
